Privacy Notice for website and Happeo platform

This Privacy Notice concerns Happeo’s (“Happeo”, “we” or “us”) personal data processing in the context of the Happeo website happeo.com (“Website”) and Happeo’s social intranet platform accessible through the Website or a mobile application (“Happeo Platform”). Together, these are referred to as the “Services”.

The Privacy Notice describes how we process personal data concerning the visitors of the Website, the users of the Happeo Platform, the contact persons of our customers, potential customers, suppliers and other business partners when we offer and promote our Services to existing and potential customers and users, and maintain business relationships with customers and other business partners.

The word “you” refers to all the aforementioned individuals whose personal data is processed in accordance with this Privacy Notice.

We are committed to processing personal data in compliance with this Privacy Notice and applicable laws. This Privacy Notice contains information about what personal data we collect, what are the purposes of processing and what rights you have relating to any personal data that concerns you.

Our Services may contain links to other services or websites run by parties other than Happeo (“Third-Party Services”). Our provision of these links does not amount to our endorsement of these Third-Party Services, nor their content, owners, or practices. This Privacy Notice does not apply to Third-Party Services, which may be governed by their own terms and policies, as applicable. Happeo does not control or assume any responsibility for the content or practices of any Third-Party Services.

Please note that we provide the Happeo Platform under a contract with an organization (such as your employer), which acts as the data controller for the data which we are a data processor under this Privacy Notice. In such cases, additional privacy policies by our customer may apply to you.

PERSONAL DATA PROCESSED

The personal data collected and processed by us in accordance with this Privacy Notice can be divided into the following categories:

Identity Data includes first and last name, title, company information and profile picture if inserted.
Contact Data includes email, telephone number and address.
Communication Data includes your correspondence with Happeo.
Platform Content Data includes communication on the Happeo Platform.
Analytics Data includes IP address, geographical location, browser type, referral source, heat mapping length of visits, pages viewed and other use of and interaction with the Services.
Transaction Data includes invoicing and billing information and purchase history.
Technical Data includes logs, IP address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access the Services.
Marketing and Communications Data includes your preferences in receiving marketing communications from us and our partners and your communication preferences.
User Data includes your user ID to the Happeo Platform and access tokens as well as the ID of the external system (e.g. Google or Microsoft) your organization uses to connect to the Happeo Platform.
Feedback includes feedback you decide to give to us in connection with our user research projects or otherwise.

Some data may also come from provisioning sources if the customer organization chooses to sync data of users into Happeo. Such data may include, among others, custom attributes the content of which depends on the customer organization’s input.

The above data may also include information about you that is publicly available, such as information available on sites like LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Google.

INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU

Information you give us
You may give us information about you by filling forms available on the Website, using the Happeo Platform or by corresponding with us by phone, email or otherwise. This information includes, but is not limited to, contact details, support requests and other information you provide when using the Services. You are in control of what information we receive from you.

Information we collect through the Services
When you use the Services, we may collect information from you, such as your contact details, data that measures the performance of the Services and data required for marketing purposes.

Information we receive from other sources
With respect to potential customers and their contact persons, we receive personal data from external or public sources, as we constantly look for new companies whom we think may benefit from our Services. These sources include services such as Zoominfo, LeadIQ and LinkedIn.

PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASES OF PROCESSING

Legitimate grounds for processing

We will only process your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will process your personal data in the following circumstances:

where it is necessary to comply with legal obligations (GDPR Article 6(1)(c)); and

For handling reports. USERS' RIGHTS

Right to access
You have the right to know whether we are processing personal data concerning you and what data we process.
Right to withdraw consent
If we process personal data based on your consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawing consent may lead to fewer possibilities to use our Services. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Right to rectify
You have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate or outdated personal data we have about you by contacting us.
Right to prohibit direct marketing
You have the right to request that your personal data is not processed for direct marketing purposes.
Right to unsubscribe from marketing communications
You may unsubscribe from receiving our marketing communications at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link located at the bottom of our emails or by contacting us.
Right to object
If we process your personal data based on Happeo’s or a third party’s legitimate interest, you have the right to object to the processing of your data, to the extent that there is no such significant other reason that would override your rights or the processing is not necessary for handling legal claims. Please notice that in this situation you might not be able to use our Services any longer.
Right to erasure
In certain situations you have the right to request the erasure of your data. These include, for example, when the processing is based on your consent and you have withdrawn your consent and when you have objected to the processing of your personal data and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing.
