Get cited Happeo answers, right inside Slack
Happeo's Slack Agent is live, bringing your intranet's answers directly into Slack.
A question comes up mid-conversation in Slack: the expense policy, the IT request process, the new remote work guidelines. Instead of switching over to Happeo or pinging a colleague, ask Happeo's Slack Agent and get a cited answer in seconds, pulled straight from Pages, Channels, and People. Sources always link back to the original content.
Three ways to use it
- Side panel: Desktop only, remembers your full conversation history
- Direct message: Ask Slack Agent directly, available on all platforms
- @mention in any channel: Get an answer visible to everyone in the thread
On Enterprise, Slack Agent also searches connected tools like Google Drive, OneDrive, and any other Federated Search integrations you've set up in Happeo.
Slack Agent does more than search, too. You can:
- Ask for a summary of your Happeo notifications, without switching apps
- Turn a Slack thread into a Happeo post: one prompt drafts it, one review publishes it
How to turn it on
If your organization already uses Happeo's Bot for Slack, go to Admin Settings → Integrations → Slack Bot, click the gear icon, and select Reconnect to use new AI features. Agent features are on immediately, and your existing content-push setup keeps running.
New to Bot for Slack? Toggle it on from the same screen. Agent features are enabled by default.
Tip: Agent features and Happeo Broadcast (the setting that pushes Happeo content into Slack) are independent toggles, so you can run either on its own or both together.
Note: Answers are personalized to each person's individual Happeo permissions, even inside a shared channel. Two people asking the same question may see different answers depending on their access, and that's expected.
Available on Starter, Growth, and Enterprise at no additional cost. Requires a paid Slack plan: Pro, Business+, Enterprise, or Enterprise+.

You can now add a live countdown to any page or post
The Countdown Timer Widget is now available to install from Happeo's Apps Marketplace. Place a live, ticking countdown directly on any page or in any channel post. The content and the timeline are in the same place for every visitor, accurate from the day you publish to the moment it expires, with nothing to maintain as the date approaches.
What happens when the timer hits zero
Instead of going silent, the widget can transition into a message and a next-step link. Toggle on Customize expired state to replace the countdown with short text and a button once the deadline passes. A registration that's now closed, a recording that's just gone live, a policy that's taken effect. The widget stays useful for everyone who arrives after the fact.
You can also add a CTA button to the active countdown itself, linking directly to the relevant form, page, or resource. A deadline and a direct path to action, in one widget.
Getting started
An admin needs to install the widget once before it's available to use:
- Go to Admin Settings → Apps
- Search for Countdown Timer and click Install
After that, page editors can find it in the Widgets menu in the Pages 2.0 editor. Anyone writing a post in a channel can find it under the Apps button in the post editor.
Available on all packages.

Three improvements to how you move around your intranet
Three recent changes make it easier to move around your intranet without losing your place.
Admin Settings, Knowledge Gaps, and Analytics now open in a new tab
Accessing any of these from the avatar menu now opens them in a new tab by default. Your current workspace stays open while you check settings or review data.
Launcher items now show their description on hover
Hovering over any item in the Launcher now reveals its description instantly. You'll know exactly what you're about to open before you click.
Channel Feed Widget posts now open in a new tab
When previewing a post or article from the Page's 2.0 Channel Feed Widget, you can now open it in a new tab with a single click. The page you were on stays exactly where it is.

Your pages can now loop through photos on their own
You can now add an Image Carousel Widget to any page in Pages 2.0, displaying a rotating collection of images with automatic transitions and manual navigation controls. Images can come from Google Drive, SharePoint, OneDrive, or uploaded directly.
Where it fits
- Company events: After an all-hands or offsite, bring the photo collection into the page instead of linking out to a Drive folder. The content stays in context, and so does your layout.
- Homepages and landing pages: Auto-advancing images make high-traffic pages feel more dynamic. The carousel moves on its own, drawing the eye from the moment visitors arrive.
- Team, office, or product pages: Visitors can move through location photos, product screenshots, or related visuals at their own pace using the arrow or dot controls.
How to set it up
Open the page in the editor, go to Widgets, and select Image Carousel Widget. Add your images, then click the gear icon to configure:
- Show navigation arrows and show dot navigation (both on by default)
- Auto-advance slides and time per slide: 3, 5, 10, 15, or 20 seconds
- Widget header if you want a title above the carousel
Tip: Set a focus point on any image containing a face, logo, or key subject. It controls which part of the image stays visible when it's cropped or scaled on smaller screens.
Available on all packages.

Pages 2.0 now lets you add comments directly on any page
You can now leave comments on any widget or page hero in Pages 2.0, pinned to the exact part of the page the feedback refers to. No separate message, no forwarded thread: the comment lives right there, where everyone with edit access can see and act on it.
How it works
Open a page in the Pages 2.0 editor and click the Comments icon (speech bubble) in the navigation bar. A sidebar opens with Open and Resolved tabs for the page you're viewing.
To add a comment, hover over a widget or page hero until the blue Add comment icon appears, then click on it. Type your comment, @mention a user if needed, and click Send comment.
From the sidebar, you can reply to, resolve, share, edit, or delete comments. Sharing a comment copies a direct link to it, so you can point a specific editor to a piece of feedback without asking them to search for it.
The open comment count in the navigation bar updates in real time as comments are added and resolved.
Note: Comments are only visible in the page editor. Viewers reading the published page won't see them, and publishing a page doesn't clear any open comments.
Tip:@mention the right person when leaving feedback. It triggers both an in-app and email notification, making it more likely they'll see it and act on it.
Available on all packages.

Happeo provisioning is now available via Merge
Happeo provisioning now works via Merge, a unified HR integration layer that connects Happeo to 17 of the most widely used HR systems, including Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, HiBob, Personio, Rippling, and more. Connect your HR system once, and users and groups sync automatically.
What it means in practice
Once provisioning is connected, Happeo stays current as your organization changes. No one needs to add users by hand, assign access manually, or remember to remove leavers. The intranet reflects your organization because your HR system does.
How to set it up
Setup happens in three steps: connect your HR system, verify your domain, then enable provisioning. If you haven’t set up a provisioning source, start by going to:
Admin Settings → User Management → Provisioning
From there, click Setup next to your HR system, authorize the connection, and follow the steps to verify your domain. Once verification completes, provisioning enables automatically.
Available on the Advanced Provisioning add-on .

Your images now stay focused on what matters
You can now set a focal point on images in Pages and Channels. Instead of every image defaulting to a center crop, you choose which part stays visible when your intranet scales or resizes it: a face in a team photo, a logo in a page hero, the key subject in a widget background.
Where focal points are available
In Pages 2.0, focal points are available on any widget or section where you can upload and customize an image — with the exception of the Text Widget. That includes Image Widgets, Banner Widgets, widget background images, section background images, and page heroes.
A couple of things to note before you start:
For Image and Banner Widgets, the focal point option only appears when the image is set to Zoom image to fit in the widget settings.
For widget backgrounds, section backgrounds, and page heroes, the brand style must not be locked.
In Channels, focal points are available on images in posts and articles.
Coming soon: Support for article header images will be available soon!
How to set a focal point
Open the image or widget settings and look for Focus point or Background focus point. Drag the blue dot to the area you want centered, or click Detect automatically to identify the visual subject.
In pages, if moving the blue dot doesn't seem to change the image, try resizing the widget by dragging its edges, then check how the focal point affects the crop.
Note: For channel post and article images, the focal point doesn't affect how the image looks in the post or article itself. It takes effect when the post appears in a Channel Feed Widget on a page, where images are cropped automatically to fit the widget layout.

Page metadata is now visible on published pages, and publish notifications just got more targeted
Page metadata in Pages 2.0 is now visible on published pages, not just in the editor. And when you publish a page update, you can now choose exactly who gets notified, with the option to include a message.
Page metadata, now visible outside the editor
Click the i icon at the top right of any published page to see:
- When the page was last updated (published), how long ago, and by whom.
- Any hashtags associated with the page.
Choose who gets notified when you publish a page update
The publish notification workflow now lets you decide who gets notified when you publish or update a page. You can notify:
- No one.
- Editors only.
- All users with access (editors and viewers).
You can also include a message in the update notification. Check the box Add a message, write your note, then publish.
Tip: If you’re making a minor correction, notifying editors only means your broader audience won't get pinged for every small change.

Pages 2.0 now lets you duplicate any page instantly
You can now duplicate any page or subpage in Pages 2.0, creating an exact copy of its content and layout as an unpublished draft, ready to edit.
When it comes in handy
- When last period's content is the starting point: Some pages come around again: quarterly reviews, annual policy updates, recurring team reports. The content that was already right stays in place. You're not hunting through an old page to copy sections across. Just update what's changed and publish.
- When a published page needs reworking: Duplicate it, rebuild freely on the copy, and the original stays published and untouched throughout. Publish the new version when it's ready.
How to duplicate a page
In the Pages 2.0 editor, go to the Pages tab in the left-hand navigation, click the three-dot menu next to the page you want to copy, and select Duplicate page.
The copy appears at the end of the page group list as "Copy of [page name]", unpublished by default.
Note: The duplicate inherits the page group's default permissions, not the original's custom page-level permissions. Check and adjust before publishing.

Pages 2.0 now gives you two new ways to notify people
Two new notification controls are now available in Pages 2.0. One lets you alert everyone with access when you publish or update a page. The other lets you choose whether to notify your entire organization when you share a page group org-wide.
Both are opt-in, and neither requires a follow-up message.
When you publish or update a page
When you publish a page, the publish dialogue now includes a Let users know this page has been updated checkbox. Check it before confirming and everyone with access to the page (owners, editors, and viewers) receive an in-app and mobile notification, including your name and the name of the page.
The checkbox resets with every publish, so you're always making a deliberate choice.
Tip: Save this for content worth people's attention: new pages, corrected information, or anything that changes how people should work. Used selectively, notifications carry more weight when they arrive.
When you share a page group with your entire organization
When you share a page group and click Share with organization, a confirmation dialog appears before the share goes through. It includes a Notify members checkbox, unchecked by default.
Check it to send a notification to everyone in your organization in-app and mobile; leave it unchecked to share without alerting anyone.
Note
A notification is only sent if the page group contains at least one published page. Recipients see your avatar, your name, and the name of the page group in their notifications menu.

Delete Pages & Page Groups
Pages 2.0 | Delete Pages & Page Groups from Happeo on Vimeo
It's now possible to permanently delete individual Pages and entire Page Groups via your Admin Settings, enabling a true cleanup of redundant or outdated content.
Deletion is mostly useful for removing 'test' pages, one-off project spaces, or legacy Page Groups—helping keep your admin view clear, accurate, and easy to manage.

New formatting options in Posts
We’ve made improvements to Posts in Channels to give you a richer, more flexible way to share updates with your colleagues. Here’s what’s new:
- More styling options: Format posts with tables, embeds, line breaks, and media (images & video) for clearer communication.
- Auto-save: Your content is saved as you type — just re-open the channel and your post will be right where you left it.
- Title field: Add titles to your posts to boost visibility and make content easier to find in search.
- AI title suggestions: Get smart recommendations for your post title as soon as you start typing in the post field. [Available for Starter, Growth, and Enterprise Packages]
Overall, this aligns Posts more closely with the Article experience — giving you more control, structure, and visibility while keeping the ease and speed of posting.

Introducing: Post Moderation
Different types of communication call for different levels of control. Now, with Post Moderation, you can require posts to be reviewed and approved before they’re published in specific Channels – helping ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment where it matters most. This feature is ideal for Channels used to share:
- Leadership updates – such as executive announcements or org changes
- Policy changes – like new compliance or HR procedures
- Company-wide news – where tone and timing are critical

Disable Comments on Posts
Sometimes, a post just needs to be seen – not discussed. You can now Disable Comments on individual Posts, either before or after publishing. This gives you more control over how your messages land – perfect for:
- Leadership updates – e.g. announcing an office move
- Policy changes – like a new hybrid working policy going into effect
- Time-sensitive alerts or logistics – such as “All-hands starts in 10 mins – here’s the updated link”
