# Banner Widget

**This article explains what a Banner Widget is and what it is used for.**

## What does it do?

The Banner Widget allows you to create a Page Banner that will link users to other content that is either internal or external.

## Banner Widget options

- **Banner link**: Choose the URL you would like the banner to link to  
  - Make sure to start the URL with http:// or https://
- **Link title**: Choose the URL's title
- **Open link**: Decide if the new URL should open in the same tab or a new tab
- **Banner image**: Choose a banner image (this image will be the background of the Banner Widget)  
  - The recommended image size is 5432 x 508 (px)
- **Use only image in banner**: Choose this option if you wish to only have the image shown as the banner without a heading or body text
