User Settings

This article details how to adjust your user settings in Happeo.

What are Happeo’s user settings?

Happeo's user settings allow you to customize your experience within the platform. You can adjust your avatar, change your platform’s language settings, customize channel notification settings, enable and disable integrations, adjust posting permissions, and more!

Where can I find the user settings?

  1. Click your avatar from Happeo’s main navigation menu
  2. Select User Settings

Note: Your user settings are saved automatically. A toast notification will appear to confirm each change.

Profile avatar

Automatic synchronization

If your company has enabled the Google Workspace integration, Happeo will synchronize your avatar by default from your Google Account.

Note: Updating your profile picture through your Google Account will automatically reflect in Happeo. Please be aware that this change will also synchronize across all Google Workspace services, including Gmail, Drive, Calendar, and others.

Manual upload

Alternatively, you can also manually upload your avatar to Happeo.

  1. Click your avatar from Happeo’s main navigation menu
  2. Select User Settings
  3. Go to My information
  4. Click Upload profile avatar
  5. Choose your avatar image:
    1. Drag & drop the image
    2. Or you can select Click to upload
  6. Adjust the positioning of the image within the frame
  7. Click Upload

Note: Entra ID and Okta users must upload their avatars manually.

Contact information

Your contact information is synchronized with your Google Workspace, Entra ID, or Okta work profile. Therefore, you cannot edit these details directly here.

If any information is incorrect, please contact your Google, Microsoft, or Okta admin to update it.

Additional information

Birthday

You can add your birthday to celebrate anniversaries throughout the year. Rest assured, your year of birth will always remain private.

Control who can see your birthday by toggling the Display my birthday to others setting. As a special treat, enjoy a fun confetti surprise when you log in on your birthday!

Alternatively, click Clear to remove your birthday from your user profile.

About me

This is your personal bio. Use this space to share a bit about yourself with other users. Consider including a brief professional background or adding a personal touch with a fun message or interesting fact. This section will be visible on your user profile.

Skills

This section is for you to list your skills, such as expertise, software proficiency, unique talents, etc. These skills will be displayed on your user profile. You can also use this section to improve your discoverability through Happeo's Search.

Note: When your birthday and skills information are sourced from a provisioning system, you cannot modify them directly within Happeo's user settings. Instead, these fields will appear grayed out.

Note: These settings are personalized and will only affect your individual experience within the organization.

Here, you can adjust the following settings:

Note: It is not possible to change the date format. By default, it is dd/mm/yyyy.

Happeo AI

Happeo AI utilizes information like your job title, department, and location to personalize its responses for you. This data is sourced from your provisioning system and cannot be edited within Happeo's user settings. However, you can remove any of these attributes from Happeo AI's consideration by clicking the X button next to them.

To further enhance Happeo AI's ability to generate more relevant and helpful responses for you, you can add tags that reflect your interests. Simply type them directly into the field or select from the provided suggestions. These tags will help Happeo AI generate more relevant and helpful responses for you.

Out of office

Here, you can easily manage your out-of-office settings. Specify your start and end dates, and optionally include a brief message.

If you have enabled the Google Gmail integration, your out-of-office settings are not imported automatically. To retrieve your Gmail out-of-office details:

  1. Click your avatar from the main navigation menu.
  2. Select User Settings.
  3. Go to My settings.
  4. Scroll to Out of office.
  5. Click Import from Gmail.

Alternatively, you can manually enter your start date, end date, and message directly in the Out of office section.

After importing or entering your details, make sure to click Save for the out-of-office status to be displayed in your platform.

Notification settings

General notifications

Here, you can customize how you receive notifications across all channels, regardless of their priority:

Note: By default, your desktop notifications, email notifications, and daily digest emails are toggled on.

Channel notifications

Here, you can control the notification priority level for each channel you're a member of. The descriptions below each priority level outline the types of notifications you might receive:

To adjust the notification settings for a specific channel, click the down arrow next to its name.

Integrations

This section allows you to enable or disable the integrations you wish to use within Happeo.

Important Note: It is highly recommended that you activate the integrations relevant to your organization. These integrations significantly enhance productivity, efficiency, and the ease of finding resources within Happeo.

Lifecycle

If your Happeo administrator has enabled Lifecycle Management, a "Lifecycle" tab will appear in your user settings. This tab provides a central location to view all pages and channels for which you are the owner or author, along with their current status.

The lifecycle tab empowers you to efficiently review and update your pages and channels, ensuring that the content within Happeo remains accurate and relevant.

Posting permissions

Happeo allows you to post on behalf of a colleague, and they can do the same for you. For detailed information on posting permissions, please refer to this article.
