# Pages 2.0 | Video Widget

**This article details what the Video Widget is and how to manage it.**

## What is the Video Widget?

The **Video Widget** allows you to embed videos from your cloud storage (Drive, SharePoint, OneDrive) or external links directly into your page. This can enhance page engagement by providing content that captivates and informs your users.

By customizing the widget's appearance with options like background color, padding, and rounded corners, you can seamlessly personalize how your video is displayed, creating a cohesive user experience.

For more information about **adding widgets** to your page, please see [this article](https://help.happeo.com/hc/en-us/articles/31976051466513-Pages-2-0-Add-and-Manage-Widgets).

## How to add a video to the widget

Once you’ve **added the video widget** to your page, you can select and add a video to the widget.

1. Click **Select video** - **Choose from Integrations**– If you've enabled **Drive**, **SharePoint**, and/or **OneDrive** in your [user settings](https://app.happeo.com/mysettings/integrations), you can select a video from the available options
   - **(Alternative) Add an external video**– Select **External Video** and paste a **URL** or **embed code** for the video you want to display
2. Once you've chosen your video source, click **Select** to add it to the widget

## How to manage the video widget

To **manage** the video widget:

1. Navigate the **page group** where the widget resides
2. Click the **pencil icon** at the top right of the page to open the **page editor**
3. **Hover your mouse over the widget** until it is highlighted in blue, and **click on it**
4. Select the **settings**(gear) **icon** at the top right of the widget
5. A new window will open where you can **adjust the widget's settings.** You can switch between the **Configure** and **Styles** tabs to adjust **what is displayed** and **how the content is displayed**

## Configure

- **Selected video**– Click the **rewind icon** to replace the video and the **trash can icon** to remove the video. You can also click the **popout button** to view the video in its original location
- **Widget header** – Add a header to the widget. Once toggled, you can **type the widget’s header** in the **text field** that appears above the widget

## Styles

- **Background color**– Select the background color of the section. The colors available to you will depend on what the **system default** is and the **[brand style](https://help.happeo.com/hc/en-us/articles/31976934443025-Pages-2-0-Create-and-Manage-Brand-Styles)** you are using
- **Padding**–Adjust the amount of background visible behind the widget. You can set a value between 0px and 100px. A larger value will show more of the background, making the section header and content appear **smaller**. A smaller value will minimize the background visibility, making the widget appear **larger**. Adjust the slider to fine-tune the amount of padding
- **Round corners**–Round the corners of the widget between the values 0px and 100px. A larger value will make the widget corners appear **rounder,** whereas a lower value will make them appear **sharper**

## FAQs

### Can I add multiple videos to a single video widget?

No, currently, a single video widget can only display one video at a time.

### Can I control the video playback, such as autoplay or loop?

No, the widget does not offer direct control over video playback settings. You'll need to adjust these settings within the video hosting platform itself and paste the **embed code** into the widget. You can find resources below on how to manage video embedding options for Youtube and Vimeo video:

- [Youtube](https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/171780?hl=en#zippy=%2Cmake-an-embedded-video-play-automatically)

### Can I resize the video within the widget?

Not directly. The video will typically adjust to fit the widget's dimensions. However, you can adjust the widget's size and padding to influence the video's size indirectly.

### Can I track video analytics, such as views and play time?

The widget itself does not provide detailed video analytics. However, if you are using a video hosting platform with analytics features, you can track those metrics directly from the platform.
