5. Landing page: My Stream & My News

When you open the app, you land on My Stream or My News. You can toggle between the two by clicking the downward arrow next to the My Stream or My News title.

6. Notifications: Stay on top of what matters

Your notifications live behind the bell icon in the top-right corner of the screen, next to your profile. A badge on the bell shows your unread count at a glance, so you always know what's waiting without opening the feed.

What you see in the notifications menu

When you open the notifications menu, you'll see a feed of your recent activity across channels, posts, and announcements. At the top of the screen, you'll find:

Unread notifications are highlighted so you can quickly spot what needs your attention.

Filter your notifications

Use the quick filters at the top of the notifications menu to focus on what matters most:

Tap a filter to apply it. Tap it again to clear it and return to the full feed.

Mark a notification as read

You can mark individual notifications as read in two ways:

When the blue indicator disappears from the notification (or the notification is removed from the ‘unread only’ list), this confirms the notification is now read.

For Announcements, you need to explicitly acknowledge them:

  1. Open the announcement post.
  2. Tap "I have acknowledged this".

This ensures critical updates, like policy changes or leadership messages, are seen and confirmed.

Mark all notifications as read

  1. Tap the bell icon to open your notifications.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap "Mark all as read".

View notification history

By default, the notifications menu shows unread notifications. To see older activity:

Hide notifications from a specific discussion

If a conversation is no longer relevant to you:

  1. In the notifications menu, tap the notification to open the channel post it relates to.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the post.
  3. Tap "Hide notifications from this discussion".

Future notifications from that specific post won't appear in your notifications feed.

Manage notification priority for channels

Notification priority helps you focus on the channels that matter most — for example, company-wide updates versus social or casual groups.

You can adjust a channel's notification priority in four ways:

  1. From a Channel list: Tap the pencil icon next to a channel to change its priority.
  2. From Settings: Tap your avatar → Notification Settings, then tap the pencil icon next to the relevant channel.
  3. From a notification: Long-press a notification related to a channel, then choose the option to manage that channel's notification settings.
  4. From the notifications menu: Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, select "Notification settings", and manage Channel priorities from there.

Available priority levels:

Muted Channels display with a bell icon with a dash in lists, so it's clear which topics are intentionally silenced.

7. Channels menu: Follow conversations across topics

Tapping the Channels icon at the top of your homepage opens the Channels menu.
